We are so happy and humbled to have been there to witness our regional day market of Dandaji’s opening day! It was a wonderful day where we got to watch the merchants appropriate the place for themselves and the community (especially the children) discover and spend their entire day enjoying the new amenity.

After a long search and many amazing candidates, meet atelier masomi’s new addition: Oumou Soumaré! Oumou is a young graduate from Ibn Khaldoun University in Tunisia who has worked in Niger and Senegal. She it committed to an architecture that fits its intended users and respects their narratives. An architecture that relies on simplicity to produce richness.

Rolex mentor Sir David Adjaye and protégé Mariam Kamara have reveal plans for mentorship at the 16th International Architecture Venice Biennale. The duo is to create a new cultural centre in Niamey, Niger that meets local needs.
